Sneaker enthusiasts came together once again for Cape Town’s only sneaker summit called sneaker exchange. This was the third installment (in Cape Town) and biggest one to date. The usual sneaker suspects pulled through and a few new faces. It was a day of live sneaker talking, selling, swopping and a live performance by Da.Les. Hats off to the Zaid Osman and his team. Lost Property has always been a respected brand when it came to copping sneakers. This past friday it opened it’s doors to Cape Town’s sneaker enthusiasts and stepped out of the virtual realm and into the physical. It was a successful launch filled with friendly faces, a thourough collection of deadstock sneakers and plates of malay fingerfoods. We take our hats off to Zaid Osman and the Lost Property crew. The store is officially open so go check it out, shop 3 Rheede Street Mall, Gardens.

Losers x Smith & Abrahams launch

Last Friday, Smith and Abrahams brought yet another “can’t get” and made it freely available to all of Cape Town’s sneaker enthusiasts. This time around it is the Japanese sneaker brand Losers. The turn out was good, saw some old and some new faces. The vibe was dope and the shoes did’nt disappoint. What did disappoint was my dumbass that forgot my camera at home and my smartphone was a dead phone. Meet Trashhand

Based out of Chicago, Illinois, trashhand is a photographer with a special talent for capturing the city in which he dwells. In June 2011, trashhand began posting his iPhone images to Instagram, and soon was immersed in the community, finding an audience for his iPhoneography. By December of 2011, trashhand had already bought his first DSLR camera, and his passion and skill set grew rapidly. With many of the images published on his Instagram & Tumblr showcasing Chicago, his reverence & passion for documenting the city’s essence is apparent. “Chicago has meant everything to me in the way that it shaped my images. Every time I take a photo of Chicago, I feel like I’m collaborating with it. My photos of the city don’t just belong to me, but to it as well. Most of the time, I feel like Chicago just gave me the shot just so I could edit and share it.”

Nike Football Presents “The Last Game”

Its that time again when teams of 11 men kick around a ball on a field and dub it “the beautiful game”. Nike presents their latest commercial, titled “The Last Game.” The animated short imagines a time in the not-so-distant future, where professional footballers – creative, skillful, yet naturally flawed – are replaced by ‘perfect’ clones. The likes (or likenesses, rather) of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Wayne Rooney, and Cristiano Ronaldo have been forced to rely on their secondary talents, until a certain Brazilian legend coaches them to challenge for their spots.

POW! WOW! Hawaii x Versace Mural by Tristan Eaton Video

POW! WOW! Hawaii has teamed up with California street artist Tristan Eaton to paint a mural for Versace. Centered around the Italian fashion house’s iconic Medusa logo which first made its mark in the fashion world in the ’80s, the mural exhibits Eaton’s use of pastel colors alongside his adept skills with the spray can. Transforming the walls of Kaka’ako into a psychedelic rendition, the legendary logo is further emphasized by Eaton’s pop culture-inspired detailing — looking to formative lines and opaque layering in its vibrant techniques. Supported by Montana Cans, the mural took five days to create using aerosol cans
