Check out this sweet timelapse video of artist Herakut who paints a giant canvas for her show at 941 Geary in San Francisco. In the video, underneath the character in her painting, Herakut writes out a poem that is by an exiled Iranian poet. The poem and layers she creates underneath the character in the painting provoke an emphasis on examining ourselves, and just what lies beneath the surface. Herakut’s show opened on April 21st, 2012 and runs until May 29th, 2012.
